The best show continues through the 1960s!

The second decade of Formula 1 proved to be a success, creating superstars like Graham Hill and Jim Clark. Since Formula 1 was still in its early years, the format was continually updated, changing many times throughout the decade. It started off with the same format as the 1950s, except that the fastest lap point was taken away and replaced with an extra point for sixth place. Additionally, the number of results that counted to the championship was up to 6 results, from 5 at the end of the previous decade.

Fun fact: Graham Hill's son, Damon Hill, would also go on to become a world champion. This was the first of 2 father/son pairings to be world champions.
